Aesop Reaches Russia

Aesop, the fastest growing and most popular automated substitute placement system in the United States, was officially adopted by a school district in Russia on June 2, 2009. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that was founded by Frontline Placement Technologies is already serving customers not only in the United States, but also in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. As Frontline continually strives to define the front lines of automated substitute placement around the world, establishing a new client base in Russia was an important step for Frontline. They are thrilled to announce that the Anglo-American School (AAS) of Moscow will begin using Aesop by the fall of 2009.

According to their mission statement, the AAS “is an international learning community where students, teachers and parents demand excellence and engagement from one another" (http://www.aas.ru/). With one building in Moscow and another in St. Petersburg, they were looking for a more efficient method for substitute placement and absence management.

The director, Erica Fursova, discovered Aesop at the American Association of School Personnel Administrators Conference in the United States. Many reports about Aesop’s superior functionality and world class customer service from other attendees led Fursova to see if Aesop could serve her organization in Moscow. After a few discussions and conference calls, AAS chose Aesop to provide substitute placement services, since the system does not require any hardware or software installation at the district. Even the training will be handled online, allowing for a smooth and cost effective implementation.
