Entire Province of Nova Scotia Goes Live With Aesop

Frontline Technologies Canada is honored to announce the implementation of its flagship service, Aesop, by the entire province of Nova Scotia. Aesop is an automated substitute placement and absence management system for K-12 school districts.

After thoroughly researching the available substitute placement options, Nova Scotia chose Aesop’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. Unlike “box-on-site” systems, Aesop’s integrated internet and web service does not require hardware, software, or extra phone lines at the district office. This technology allows Aesop to eliminate costly maintenance and upgrade fees, while offering a multimillion-dollar application for an affordable subscription scaled to the district size.
 
Based in Toronto, Aesop’s tier-one data center hosts the system’s servers in a secure facility with seven-day diesel backup. Besides automated absence registration and substitute placement, Aesop also provides real-time tracking and reporting for administrators, as well as skill-matching and preference lists, ensuring that the most qualified substitute is teaching in the classroom.

Aesop worked closely with Nova Scotia throughout the RFP process, providing a flexible solution tailored for the province’s specific needs and preferences. Edmonton Catholic Schools in Alberta has also been using Aesop successfully for seven years.
