Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Picks Aesop
Frontline Technologies Canada is pleased to announce that Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools has selected Aesop as its substitute placement and absence management service. Greater Saskatoon is Saskatchewan’s largest Catholic school division and is a leader in innovative programs and technology solutions. Aesop is the fastest-growing automated substitute placement and absence management system, serving more than 2,100 school divisions worldwide.
When it needed to choose a new absence management system, Greater Saskatoon selected the Aesop Software-as-a-Service solution, with no hardware, software, or extra phone lines at the school division site. Instead, Frontline Technologies Canada hosts the web and phone-based service. Teachers can register absences and qualified substitutes can accept jobs online or over the phone, eliminating the need for manual substitute calling. Aesop also provides administrators with real-time data and easily customizable reports.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools has recently signed the contract with Aesop and begun the implementation process. By utilizing Aesop for their 1,500 teachers, Greater Saskatoon plans to increase efficiency in several ways. Aesop’s automated substitute-calling will allow the school division to reallocate the time that three substitute-callers were spending on the phone filling absences.
“After reviewing the total package, the ability for substitutes to book ahead and be proactive was a very exciting option for us,” said Coordinator of IT Tom Dyck.
Tom said the school division is hoping to see almost instant utilization of the reporting capabilities within Aesop. With Aesop, administrators will gain real-time access to information and be able to create custom reports on data such as fill rates, absenteeism trends, and absence balances.
Greater Saskatoon also plans to integrate Aesop with its payroll system, which will dramatically reduce the time spent on absence-related data entry.
